The sale is by private treaty, and O’Brien gives a guide price of €350,000 for the entire property, which is an executor’s sale.
Located just outside Skibbereen on the Bantry road, the property has road frontage, and the house and yard are at the end of a long driveway.
The very old but interesting five-bed farmhouse comes with old stone outbuildings and a hay shed. It’s on offer with just under three acres.
The rest of the land is available in six lots, with the better land having a guide price of €9,000 to €10,000 per acre, and less for the rough grazing land. There is the potential to use this as forestry land, says O’Brien.
