Large grass farm sells for in excess of asking price

A LARGE grass farm at Ballinguile, Churchtown, which came with an SFP of €10,000, has sold for in excess of the asking price through auctioneer Liam Mullins.

The agent sold the 103-acre property in just two months, having received expressions of interest from all over the county.

The eventual purchasers were a pair of local farmers who clubbed together to seal the deal for more than the €8,000 per acre guide. It is believed to have sold for between €850,000 and €900,000.
