Limerick gardaí find semi-automatic gun and drugs during murder probe

A HANDGUN found during a dig of lands in recent days at Ballysimon on the outskirts of Limerick has been identified as a Glock semi-automatic.

It is believed the weapon may be connected to a recent murder in the area.

Daniel Fitzgerald, 25, died a week ago after he left a mobile home near Beary’s Cross on the main Limerick-Tipperary road.
