IT hit the market early last year, but was withdrawn because of a few issues with the boundaries, and this 33-acre, west Cork coastal farm, at Ballymacshoneen, will go for auction on January 20.

Auctioneer Paddy Murray had originally intended the Munster Arms Hotel, in Bandon, as the venue for the auction, but the premises has been severely affected by flooding, and is closed for repairs.

The Bandon-based agent found himself marooned in his Main Street offices, as flood waters gushed into the town.
