AS Ann Corcoran’s partially burnt body lay wrapped in bin bags buried under a mound of earth in a woods in Garrettstown, Co Cork, her murderer, Oliver Hayes, was using her money to fund a skiing trip in Austria with his girlfriend.

IT hit the market early last year, but was withdrawn because of a few issues with the boundaries, and this 33-acre, west Cork coastal farm, at Ballymacshoneen, will go for auction on January 20.

RESIDENTS of a West Cork town have until next Friday to give their opinion on everything from the location of traffic lights to paving, lighting and the promotion of local historical monuments as part of a major redevelopment plan.
