Cliffside land under offer after auction

PRIME land on a spectacular cliffside location at Finure, Whitegate, Co Cork, failed to sell last week.

The 65-acre holding, auctioned by John O’Mahony of CCM Midleton, was withdrawn without reaching the reserve. An offer was later made and the auctioneer is open to other bids for the land, which bounds Cork Harbour. The sweetener in the sale was an old dwelling on the land, which might enable planning permission for a larger residence far enough from the sea to retain the unspoilt cliffscape.

Mr O’Mahony is looking for offers in the region of a little less than €1 million.
