Potential-filled propertyhas something for everyone
The 98-acre property includes forestry, pasture land, a residence in very good condition, and stables.
The property is for sale in lots through joint agents John Hodnett of SWS Property Services and Sherry FitzGerald Brennan Busteed.
The farm is 15 minutes from Bandon and Macroom, and about half an hour’s drive from Cork city.
According to John Hodnett, it has about 50 acres of top-quality pasture land and 48 acres of forestry.
Between REPS and the single farm payment, the farm brings in just under €20,000 per year, and there’s huge potential with the house and yard, the agent says.
The four-bedroom farmhouse is being sold with 40 acres, as Lot A, guide priced at €900,000 to €1m.
The yard includes an lofted outhouse, a 60’ by 30’ shed with two lean-tos and two single-storey outhouses, ideal as stables.
Lot B has 10 acres of pasture land, which would suit expanding farmers locally. Lots C and D include 48 acres of forestry.
The pasture has a guide price of €150,000 to €200,000, and the afforested land is guide-priced at “in excess of €5,000 per acre”.
The property is for sale by private treaty.
* John Hodnett recently sold a 17-acre tillage field at Burrane, Timoleague for in excess of the guide price of €25,000 per acre.
There was good interest, he said, and the property was sold to a local farmer.
