Scenic setting for two Ballyduff farms

FINAL offers are being accepted on November 5 for a 22-acre farm at Gairha, Ballyduff in Co Waterford.

Micheál Piggott of Sherry FitzGerald O’Driscoll says the property has exceeded the guide price of €600,000, and is now bid to €750,000.

Giving a final offers notice should put the gun to the head of reluctant bidders for this pretty property on the Blackwater.

The property includes a traditional single storey farmhouse, which lies close to Lismore and Fermoy.

It has a lovely, tranquil setting, Piggott says, and while in good condition, will need some modernisation.

It’s set in a courtyard of stone outbuildings and also comes with a haybarn.

* The same agent is also selling a derelict bungalow at Gortnapeaky, Ballyduff with seven acres of land.

That property has a guide of €200,000, which is a low entry level for prospective hobby farmers. It might also do as an early retirement/ second home project.

Set in a peaceful valley, the house is close to Lismore and Fermoy and within commuting distance of Cork city.
