€1m for forest roads

COMMUNITY, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Minister Éamon Ó Cuív has announced the allocation of €1,002,948 for works on forestry access roads.

Already, 74 projects have been funded, at a cost of about €4.7m, since the scheme began in 2002.

Mr Ó Cuív’s department will provide 50% of the funding; the remaining 50% is provided by Coillte.
