Your chance to buy 40 acres in restricted area

LAUNCHED on the market this spring, a 40-acre holding at Kilcondy, Crookstown, Co Cork, offers a foothold in a highly restricted area for “would-be” rural folk.

With a superb position just off the main Cork to Killarney road, this farm comes with a range of old buildings, including the shell of an old stone farmhouse.

Located at the end of a laneway in a very private setting, the farm was on the market in autumn last year, but was relaunched this month through Derek Dorgan of DNG Micheal Galvin.

Mr Dorgan is looking for offers in excess of €1 million for the property. The land is good quality, laid out in fields, with no road frontage, but accessed via a private laneway from the road.

A 20-minute drive from Cork city, it’s in an area where planning is strictly controlled and there is strong demand for one-off houses.
