Ruane is new president of farm science association

THE new president of the Agricultural Science Association (ASA, the representative body for graduates in agriculture, food, forestry, horticulture and environmental sciences), is Dermot Ruane.

Ruane is new president of farm science association

He is Head of the Agribusiness Unit in the UCD School of Agriculture, Food Science and Veterinary Medicine and has worked as a university lecturer and research scientist for more than 30 years.

Mr Ruane is one of the founding members and a former president of the Irish Farm Buildings Association. He is also a founder member of the Irish Society for Information Technology in Agriculture (ISITA) and was its first president.
