Retirement brings top class Tipperary farm to market
According to Tom Crosse of GVM Limerick, it’s ‘a smashing bit of land’, which is why he has a guide price of €1.5 million for the 82 acre property, prior to auction on October 6.
The farm is in one block, and has a dainty, three-bedroomed farmhouse for a residence, with access via a long driveway from the road.
The farm has extensive road frontage, with the fields laid out in paddocks, and old and new yards.
The new yard has slatted sheds, cubicle houses, a large hay barn and a holding yard: there’s a total of 100 head capacity, according to Tom Crosse.
The old outhouses are in immaculate condition, located behind the house, while the newer buildings are also kept to a high standard, says the agent.
The vendor returned from England some years ago and purchased this property, says Tom Crosse, and he spent a lot of time developing and upgrading Hillview Farm.
He is now retiring and leaving a top class farm behind, says the agent.
The land is well watered and fenced, and has been used for grazing by the present owner. It comes with substantial entitlements, he says, although clawback will apply to the sale.
The main residence has also been upgraded; the two-storey property has a lounge, dining room, kitchen-diner, conservatory, as well as three bedrooms and a bathroom. Dual central heating is installed, and the house has been fitted with PVC windows.
Hillview farm is just over a mile from Bansha village, and comes with all mains services.
