Clonakilty Show proves a good early outing for Kieran

THE rivalry between West Cork horse breeders was at its best during the Clonakilty Show, where they vied for most of the top honours in the showing classes.

It was a particularly good early season outing for Kieran Falvey of Maulbrack, Enniskeane, who took the young horse, brood mare and three-year-old championships.

The champion hunter award was captured by Carole Adams of The Stables, Courtmacsherry, while the supreme honours in the pony rings went to Orla Whelton of Ballintemple Hill, Clonakilty.
