Clubs battle for Macra honour

FOUR of the 12 clubs that have qualified for the national final of the AIB-Macra na Feirme club of the year competition at the end of this month are from Cork.

Innishannon (Carbery), Crookstown (Muskerry), Carrigaline (Seandún) and Whitechurch (Seandún) will compete with others for the top prize at the Macra na Feirme annual conference in the Dolmen Hotel in Carlow, on November 27.

Macra clubs in Ardcath, Enfield and Moynalty, all from Co Meath, Mountmellick, Co Laois, Ballylanders, Co Limerick, Termonfeckin, Co Louth, South Sligo and Blackwater, Co Wexford are the other finalists.
