Greencore fails in legal bid

Greencore has failed in its legal bid to force the European Commission to pay €154,892 interest on a refunded fine.

In 1997, the EU’s Court of First Instance reduced a competition fine imposed by Brussels. Greencore launched a European Court action claiming interest due on the €916,674 repayment to them, but the court has now ruled that Greencore’s legal bid came too late.
