More than 60,000 helped by Teagasc

TEAGASC advisers around the country helped and assisted more than 60,000 farmers with their Single Farm Payment application forms, it has been revealed.

Head of Teagasc Advisory Services Pat Boyle said the demand for assistance in the completion of the application forms was unprecedented, necessitating many farmers waiting in long queues in offices.

Mr Boyle thanked all farmers for their understanding and patience and Teagasc staff for their commitment during the demanding period.
