Lonergan to address Teagasc course

A SPECIAL training conference is being run by Teagasc for farmers, horticulturists, foresters and agri-business companies who give work experience to upwards of 1,000 students taking part in Teagasc training programmes each year.

Sponsored by ACCBank, the conference is being run in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh, Co Tipperary, on October 26 and 27. It will be addressed by a distinguished panel of experts, including Mountjoy prison governor John Lonergan, as well as human resources and work organisation consultants, leading farmers and Teagasc specialists.

Conference co-ordinator, Liam Myles explained the choice of a prison governor for the conference, which would centre on workplace communications

“John Lonergan has a wealth of experience in effective communications and his contribution will stimulate farmers, horticulturists, foresters and agri-business managers, not just in dealing with students but in the day-to-day running of their businesses”, said Liam Myles.

Training hosts wishing to attend should contact Teagasc at 01-8459000 or amcdonnell@hq.teagasc.ie
