CMMS errors update

Farmers will be able to update or correct CMMS errors easily this autumn, without incurring sanctions or penalties, said IFA Deputy President Ruaidhri Deasy after meeting senior Department officials in Portlaoise.
CMMS errors update

A programme of measures will be introduced by the Department to reduce and correct CMMS (Cattle Movement Monitoring System) errors in livestock herds and on the national database. The Department will write to all herd owners with detailed herd profiles accompanied by a simple and easy to use handbook explaining how farmers can correct errors on the system.

The AHCS (Animal Health Computer System) will be fully rolled out to all counties by providing CMMS herd profiles to vets prior to undertaking the TB test. Following the herd test, vets will report to the Department any discrepancies with CMMS, and the herd owner will be provided with an opportunity to make corrections with the Department on the database.
