Impressive coastal farm should attract the ‘lifestyle hunters’
The land at Garrylucas, Garrettstown, is divided into two parcels of 30 and 23 acres, and one in particular should attract wide interest, because it comes with a rundown farmhouse.
Overlooking Garrettstown beach and within the Kinsale ambit, this land will certainly be eyed up by purchasers looking for a residential property with that little extra.
With an existing dwelling, planning permission for a new property should be easier, but is not guaranteed. However, according to selling agent, Joe Carey of Carey Collins, the western portion of the farm will be ripe for development when the scheduled mains water supply is installed.
Garrettstown beach is 400 metres away and Kinsale is just four miles by road, which could see intense bidding.
Joe Carey is prepared to sell in lots, probably in two.
It’s described as very fertile and level ground with free-draining soil, laid out in five divisions with good internal roadways.
This land is virtually on the beach, says Mr Carey, and a quiet country laneway leads onto it.
He gives a guide price of 400,000 euro for the residential holding of 30 acres and 320,000 euro for the 23-acre, non-residential holding.
