Death of Paddy Sisk, ex-Teagasc tillage advisor

THE death has occurred of popular retired Teagasc advisor Paddy Sisk, who wrote on tillage in the Irish Examiner’s Farming section for several years.

An early instigator in 1970 of the discussion group method of updating farmers on technology and research, he was an effective communicator to the farming community.

A county junior hurling medallist with his native Tracton in 1957, he continued as a club administrator and selector.

He is survived by his wife Theresa, children Padraig, Hugh and Therese, brothers Billy and Hugh, sister Mary, daughter-in-law Olivia, extended family and a host of friends.
