International interest in dairy show
Ashley Fleming, a well-known breeder from Downpatrick, Co Down, will become the first Irishman to judge at the event, which is organised by the Cork Holstein Friesian Club.
Minister of State Batt O’Keeffe will be a special guest, while visitors from Britain, France, Spain, Canada and China are expected to attend.
The Irish Examiner Farming Supreme Championship will be the highlight of the 23rd national dairy show, which sees Jersey cattle become the first non-Friesian Holstein breed to take part.
