Moorepark Technology given IS 343 accreditation

A SUBSIDIARY of Teagasc, which helps companies to research, develop and launch new food products, has been recognised for its high standards.

Agriculture and Food Minister Mary Coughlan presented IS 343 accreditation to Moorepark Technology, Fermoy, Co Cork, where she officially opened a biotech food centre.

It is the first such accreditation for a research and development company in Ireland. Dr Liam Donnelly, Director of Operations, Food Research, said Moorepark Technology is now recognised as a unique model for linking public research to industry. Its customers include the most progressive food, food ingredients and nutritional companies.
