31% casein aid cut hits dairy sector

LAST week’s EU Milk Management Committee decision to cut casein aid by 31% was very damaging for the Irish dairy sector, said ICOS Director General John Tyrrell.

“This action by the Commission will significantly reduce returns to casein processors,” said the co-ops spokesman.
