95-acre farm to sell in its entirety, or in four lots
Mr Gaffney says the farm is of quality grassland, with 75 acres in “top-class condition,” and 20 acres of heavy ground, which would respond to work.
The non-residential farm has frontage on the Rockchapel and Ballydesmond roads and on the river, and is fenced.
Mr Gaffney says the price is 700,000 for this “nice bit of ground,” but he says it could be a suitable buy for neighbouring dairy and drystock farmers, or for someone looking for a scenic house site.
For that reason, the farm is being sold in four lots: 1, the farm in its entirety; 2, 20 acres; 3, 34 acres; 4, the remaining 41 acres.
Although Mr Gaffney was reluctant to give a guide price for the four lots, land in this area, and of this quality, should sell for 7,000 per acre.
