Your chance to throw water bombs at MEP
The chance to throw water bombs at your local member of the European Parliament could be the highlight for many of the Carrigaline Macra field day on Sunday, July 3 in the Ballygarvan GAA Grounds (on the Kinsale side of Cork Airport) at 6pm.
Entry is free, so rivals have a chance of a cheap shot at Simon Coveney (Fine Gael), MEP in the water wall, a construction reminiscent of the medieval stocks into which offenders were locked and exposed to public scorn.
Also among the 20 attractions are tug of war, bouncy castle, ball ponds, long puc, sumo suits, bale rolling, and welly throwing.
Any money you spend enjoying yourself goes towards Enable Ireland’s Lavanagh Centre in Cork, which provides medical, paramedical, social, respite, developmental, educational and training services for children and adults with a primary physical disability.
Food and live music are included in the field day; for more information, contact Jill at 087 63 29 419.
