‘Crazy’ N Directive concern

NEW co-op rules and a strategy to maximise the value of their 190 millions of milk per year promise a better future for Dairygold suppliers.

But even for one of the group's most successful suppliers, there are new concerns on the horizon principally the Nitrates Directive.

"It's crazy," said multi-award winning farmer Michael Downing, when his farm at Whitechurch, Cork was visited during Dairygold's recent briefing for the Guild of Agricultural Journalists.
