Kelly wants IFA deputy presidency
A former West Cork County IFA chairman, Mr Kelly, from Lehanmore, has been Munster vice president for nearly four years.
Derek Deane, from Rathvilly, Co Carlow, a former IFA Livestock Committee chairman, is also expected to be a candidate for the post, currently held by Ruaidhri Deasy, a candidate for the presidency, along with Raymond O’Malley, vice president, and Padraig Walshe, treasurer.
An intensive campaign for both the presidential and vice presidential positions in the 85,000 member IFA is guaranteed.
