Munster IFA vice president, Donal Kelly, is to seek the deputy presidency in the December elections.

A former West Cork County IFA chairman, Mr Kelly, from Lehanmore, has been Munster vice president for nearly four years.

Derek Deane, from Rathvilly, Co Carlow, a former IFA Livestock Committee chairman, is also expected to be a candidate for the post, currently held by Ruaidhri Deasy, a candidate for the presidency, along with Raymond O’Malley, vice president, and Padraig Walshe, treasurer.
