A WESTERN livestock mart group has bucked the trend nationally by maintaining a 30 year record of profit making.

After two of the toughest years in the history of livestock trading in this country, their shareholders are still earning a 20% dividend on their original investment in the co-op.

While substantial losses were being reported by most of the larger mart groups in the country in 2002, the Clare Marts Group announced profits of more than €200,000 for the year.
