With weekly milk deliveries running 4% over quota, Glanbia has reminded farmers of the seriousness of the group’s 2.5 million gallons over-production.

By the end of February, 570 Glanbia suppliers had filled their annual quota.

Glanbia Group Milk Manager, Michael O’Neill said, “I urge suppliers to do what they can to improve the situation. They should keep in contact with their local Milk Advisor for updates, given that a super levy fine of €1.67 per gallon will apply to all gallons over full annual quota.” Glanbia’s Premier (liquid milk) suppliers are 150,000 gallons over quota.
