Sale is close to €38,000/acre

COMING on the market this week with auctioneer John Hodnett is a 35 acre, non-residential holding at Munnane, Church Cross, Skibbereen, which comes with 28,899 gallons of milk quota.
Sale is close to €38,000/acre

Lying north of the main Skibbereen to Schull road, the property, in two natural divisions, is laid out in pasture and it’s good quality grazing land for the most part, says the SWS Property Services agent.

The Munnane land can be sold entire or in two lots - of 18.5 acres with 15,300 gallons, and 16.5 acres with 13,500 gallons.

The land has views over the Ilen River, so it could be attractive as a hobby farm.

The land is in the disadvantaged area.

Meanwhile, a few miles away on the other side of the Ilen River, auctioneer Charlie McCarthy has confirmed the sale of Robin Hill Farm, situated between Skibbereen and Baltimore.

This residential holding has been sold for close to the asking price of €950,000.

The farm of 25 acres with a 10,000 gallon milk quota includes an extended and renovated cottage. The land, in one block, has been well cared for, according to Mr McCarthy.

The farmhouse and yard are set well back from the road.

The main residence has been fully restored, and has five bedrooms, a kitchen-dining room, sitting room, living room and ground floor bathroom.
