VOTING gets underway tonight to elect the next IFA president, with members in 67 branches around the country casting their votes.

In all, 946 IFA branches representing 85,000 members will vote between now and December 16. The national count will be held in Dublin on December 20.

Three candidates are seeking to succeed John Dillon. They are deputy president Ruaidhri Deasy, vice-president (Ulster/Nth Leinster) Raymond O’Malley and national treasurer Padraig Walshe.
