Swissco signs €6m deal with MSVC

SWISSCO of Little Island, Co Cork, has secured a €6 million contract to supply 19 varieties of pre-packed chilled ready meals and food-to-go meals to Musgrave SuperValu Centra.

The company recently completed the development of a purpose-built chilled ready meals facility.

Over €10 million will be invested into the development of the project and there are hopes that about 100 jobs will be created.

Musgrave SuperValu Centra and Swissco said they hope to offer consumers a “ready-meal” solution to cater for all tastes.

Donncha Casey of Swissco said the business with MSVC was a great boost to the company, giving it countrywide distribution for its product and the potential to really grow sales.
