Certification should be paid by Exchequer say vets

The deadline for the second round of the Dairy Herd Health Certification, which was to be completed by December 31, 2002, has been extended because of a disagreement over payment.

Certification of livestock farms under the National Beef Assurance Scheme is due to be carried out in 2003, but there is still no agreement as to who should foot the bill.
