Also situated near Ennistown Stud, close to Navan, the 57-acre Flektown property is expected to fetch about €1.1m.

In permanent pasture, the farm would be ideal for cattle or sheep, says Pat O’Hagan of Hamilton Osborne King. “It’s good quality land, situated relatively close to Dublin. We’ve had a lot of enquiries so far,” he said.

Within 25 miles of Dublin, Flektown may end up being sold in two lots.

The ruins of an house, which was burned down in a fire six years ago, are at the centre of the land. This dwelling may be replaced by the next owner, subject to planning permission.

Closer to the road stands a modern two bedroom bungalow with potential to be extended. It has a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom.

The bungalow on one acre, may be sold as a separate lot, with the ruins of the old cottage and 56 acres sold as a second lot, at the auction in Newcourt Hotel, Co Meath.

The M50 motorway is 25 minutes away from the residential farm.
