Delegation to meet nitrates officials

A FINE GAEL delegation will meet on Tuesday with the EU officials dealing with the Nitrates Directive.

The party wants to discuss the implications for Ireland and the feasibility of obtaining a simplified system for increasing the livestock unit restrictions.

Denis Naughten and Noel Coonan, the party’s agriculture and food spokespersons respectively in the Dáil and Senate, and Ireland East European Parliament member Mairéad McGuinness will form the delegation.
