The heifer weighing 695 kgs was exhibited by John McGrath, Shanbally, Clogheen and purchased by Terence Ryan, Tender Meats, Clondalin, County Dublin at a whopping €518/100 kgs (€263/cwt).

The reserve champion of the show was a Belgian Blue baby beef heifer exhibited by Noel Bradfield, Church Quarter, Kilbehenny. The animal weighed 635 kgs and sold for €1,700 to Fitzgerald Bros, Fermoy.
