‘Ploughing’ accommodation request to families

THERE is still strong demand for family home accommodation for visitors to the National Ploughing Championships in east Cork next September, according to the National Ploughing Association.

NPA Managing Director Anna May McHugh said, “Traditionally, the local community are very hospitable, opening their homes to guests for ‘Ploughing Week’, and we look forward to that kind of welcome again this year in East Cork”.

The NPA’s Unregistered Accommodation Officer Mary Murphy would like to hear from people who can offer a room or, ideally, a couple of rooms. Basic requirements include rooms being clean and warm, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds (no overcrowding) and a good breakfast. “If hosts are interested in providing an evening meal, that is also a bonus”, said the NPA.
