Ireland: A farm leader yesterday appealed to dog owners to keep a tight control of their pets.

ICSA sheep chairman Francis Cusack said dog owners should be able to account for the whereabouts of their dogs at all times.

“The suffering and cruelty that marauding dogs can incur on sheep is very upsetting, not to mention the monetary loss and veterinary expense that farmers have to endure following these attacks,” he said.
