Farm leader appeals for pet control
ICSA sheep chairman Francis Cusack said dog owners should be able to account for the whereabouts of their dogs at all times.
“The suffering and cruelty that marauding dogs can incur on sheep is very upsetting, not to mention the monetary loss and veterinary expense that farmers have to endure following these attacks,” he said.
He advised farmers who are worried about roaming dogs to report such incidences to their local dog wardens so that the animals can be confiscated and put in the local dog pound.
