A 22-month-old pedigree heifer has won the All Ireland Aberdeen Angus Championship of 2004, and a unique once-off Championship medal, for a Co Meath breeder.

Gerard Lynch, Kells, Co Meath was presented with the Special Medal to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society.

His Lisbelmaid won the award in an outstanding show of animals at Cappamore, Co Limerick, where the Angus Championship, sponsored by Univet Ireland Ltd, was the highlight of the Golden Jubilee Agricultural Show.
