Small but enthusiastic

MACROOM guild celebrated their 50th Anniversary recently with a Gala Dinner and Dance in the Victoria Hotel.

This was attended by Cork Fed. President Ann Carleton, Rita Clohessy, International Officer, Deirdre Hickey, Producer Promoter and Pat Hickey.

The guild is proud to own its own hall which is situated in the Castle grounds. This was purchased through raffles, dances, whist drives, etc. Though the membership is smaller the dedication and interest is still there. Every year funds are raised for charities. This year 8,100 was raised and distributed to various charities. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month.
