Shoppers urged to ‘think local’

THE former top athlete, Catherina McKiernan, is fronting a national campaign by Agri Aware to encourage consumers to ‘Think Local - Think Irish’ this Christmas.

Agri Aware chairman TJ Maher said Irish consumers are keenly aware of the value of the farming and food industry and Agri Aware is encouraging them to keep this awareness when purchasing goods and services this Christmas season.

“Our industry plays a vital role in ensuring that consumers have superb food all year round. Irish farmers work hard to produce food to the highest quality standards in the world,” Mr Maher said.
