Tree Day benefit for students

Wexford: Forestry Minister John Browne marked National Tree Day yesterday by planting a tree in his native Enniscorthy, Co Wexford.

He said Tree Day would benefit more than 450,000 primary school students nationwide in learning about trees.

“It has been said that ‘he who plants a tree plants a hope’. It is my hope events like Tree Week will help to plant the seed of a tree culture in Ireland.
