Farmers were reminded at an IFA conference on succession in Mullingar that they are never too old or too young to make a will.

The conference explored ways of helping farm families to tackle one of the biggest and most complex issues facing their future, with the help of technical, legal, financial and other experts. IFA general secretary Michael Berkery said families are becoming increasingly aware of the succession issue.

The conference was sponsored by Bank of Ireland Business Banking. A similar conference will take place on June 10, in Cahir House Hotel, Cahir, 5pm-10pm. Pre booking vital.
