Speciality food diploma launched

A new diploma in speciality food production has been developed at UCC, in response to the growth in the small scale food enterprise sector.

The Faculty of Food Science and Technology at the college; Ballymaloo Cookery School; CAIS; Slowfood Ireland; Teagasc and the veterinary department of Cork County Council have developed the initiative.

It is aimed at entrepreneurs, producers, buyers, retailers, culinary specialists, food designers and journalists.

The course starts on April 11.
