Irish chicken absolutely safe and free from bird flu, says IFA

CONSUMERS were reassured yesterday that Irish chicken and chicken products are absolutely safe and are produced to the highest EU production and food safety standards.

IFA Poultry committee chairman Alan Graham said Irish consumers need have no worries about any aspect of the production standards and quality of Irish chicken.

Mr Graham said it should be borne in mind that the current crisis in Thailand and Asia is thousands of miles away.
