Our soldiers of fortune keeping my hopes alive

WATCHING the Everton game on TV was unbearable; firstly my “mates” thought it hilarious to send pictures and phone me during the match; secondly, having to sit and listen to the biased commentary and the obvious disappointment when Chelsea won was rather annoying.

Grant, you blue it and you know it

WELL THAT’S that then — another management masterclass by the genius that is Avram Grant and another potential trophy goes down the pan.

Special fans make it a Turkish delight
WELL, I’ve returned from Istanbul safe and sound and have had all pre-conceived views of the city and its people blown away. It has to be one of my favourite trips of recent times for a whole host of reasons.

Bluer than ever as Grant saps our spirit
NEVER in my Chelsea-supporting career have I felt so much as though I were simply going through the motions. We won on Sunday, and regained second spot, from arch-rivals Arsenal — not that anyone seemed to notice, or care much, to tell the truth. The feelgood factor that I have always got from football, even in some of our darkest hours, seems to have gone.

Grant-ed he did well, Spurs loss still hurts
WHAT A day Sunday turned out to be. After the Tottenham debacle I feared the worst, and when we went 1-0 down I thought that was it.

Gunning down Arsenal a must for Normal One
YOU’D have thought that a win that bought us within touching distance of the top two would create a stir amongst the Chelsea fans but we were in a subdued mood as we streamed out of the Stadium of Light.

No-good Grant should be shipped out now
SCHADENFREUDE — “The malicious joy in the misfortunes of others.” I thought I’d start with that so that Liverpool fans are aware that I know what it means.

Wed, 12 Mar, 2008

Has Grant finally learned?
IF we have learnt anything from the result against West Ham, it’s how wrong Grant got things in the Carling Cup Final.

Time to end Grant sham
IT’S been a very bad week— and I’m not sure whereto begin. Athens was a nightmare from start to finish — starting with the moment when they cancelled our flight going out of Gatwick Monday morning. A lot of running around, lots of cash and 33 hours of travelling later, we finally touched down in the Greek capital.

Wed, 27 Feb, 2008

We keep on winning but where’s the excitement?
IT’S all a bit quiet at Stamford Bridge these days…..and very, very dull.
