Time to end Grant sham

IT’S been a very bad week— and I’m not sure whereto begin. Athens was a nightmare from start to finish — starting with the moment when they cancelled our flight going out of Gatwick Monday morning. A lot of running around, lots of cash and 33 hours of travelling later, we finally touched down in the Greek capital.

We weren’t the only ones — a number of flights were cancelled due to a snow-bound Athens but Chelsea fans are a resourceful lot, and very few went home. Many took the Thessalonica route as we did, some flew to Rhodes, others to Larnaca and some even managed to visit four countries in one day — all for the privilege of watching us play one of the worst games of football that I have seen in a decade.

To add insult to injury only three of our players managed to come over and acknowledge the travelling support. Jose would have made them come over — not that any of them should need telling mind, but just shows another difference between the silk purse and the sow’s ear.
