I have a bit of weeding to do now at home, not the kind of job you’d normally look forward to but I have to say, pulling weeds will be nearly enjoyable after this.

Two really entertaining games in the All-Ireland qualifiers on Saturday and, thanks to the timing, I was able to get to both, though the extra-time in Ennis put real pressure on heading to Thurles.

I got a call from a Galway supporter during the week who has followed the team since 1975 but won’t be going to Tullamore tomorrow.
