I don’t understand why newspapers publish photographs taken at funerals. However, your front page photograph on August 27 was not just unnecessary, it was an entirely inappropriate invasion of the privacy of two young children.

To read Alison O’Connor (Irish Examiner, August 28), it would appear that the peace process started with Ahern and Blair, and because “Fine Gael did not broker this historic agreement... this will always stick in the craw of Fine Gael”. I was surprised to read such mean-minded words.
