When style and value for money combine, you get a product like the VQ Skylark True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds. In collaboration with the renowned UK brand Cath Kidston, VQ produced the Skylark earbuds, which are available in three stylish designs: Bees, Story Tree, and Strawberry Garden Blue.

Unboxing the VQ Skylark is a good indication, as even the packaging itself is elegant, hinting at the stylish product inside. The Cath Kidston designs stand out in a sea of bland, monochrome earbuds, but their appeal will not be to everyone's taste.
According to VQ, the earbuds draw inspiration from the Skylark, a bird celebrated in literature, poetry, art, and music. They aim to blend the beauty and grace of this bird with modern technology at a fraction of the cost of flagship earbuds.

The design is lightweight and comfortable, making it easy to wear for extended periods without discomfort.
There’s no denying that despite the gorgeous exterior case design, the VQ Skylark look very similar to the AirPods Pro. When I compared the two cases side-by-side, the AirPods Pro were smaller and a little more pocketable. The buds share some of the same design language as Apple’s popular earbuds, but the VQ Skarlark are larger again.
The chrome accents outside the bud's stem and where the case cover joins the body are my least favourite parts of the design, even though I still think the entire thing looks great. Though I would prefer the Bee design, which uses gold accents instead of chrome, it's truly a question of taste. I was given the Story Tree design with chrome accents.

The Skylark's ergonomic design ensures they fit snugly in my ears. They come with three sizes of ear tips, and their lightweight build means I hardly notice them even after hours of use.
The water resistance feature came in handy during my workouts and outdoor runs, providing peace of mind that a little sweat or rain wouldn’t damage them.

The Skylark earphones' sound quality surprised me when I initially put them on because they are reasonably priced. The deep, rich bass, clear mid-range, and sharp high-end create an impressive audio experience. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not in the same league as the more expensive models from Sony, Apple or Sennheiser, but most users won’t be disappointed when you factor in the price.
Also worth noting is that the Skylark delivers plenty of volume for those who complain earbuds are never loud enough.

Pairing the Skylark earbuds with my devices was a breeze. With Bluetooth 5.3 compatibility, they connected seamlessly to my iPhone and tablet. The connection remained stable up to 10 meters, allowing me to move freely without losing the signal. This ease of use and the quick pairing process made the overall experience very satisfying.

A full charge provides up to six hours of audio playback time, with the case adding 45 hours of power. The standby time is an impressive 200 hours, ensuring the earbuds are always ready when I need them.
Understandably, you can’t expect everything in earbuds at this price. There’s no wireless charging, wear sensors or active noise cancellation. There’s also no companion app, so you can’t customise the touch controls or update the firmware.

Making calls with the Skylark earbuds was a pleasant experience. The built-in HD microphone ensures my voice comes through clearly, even in noisy environments. The Enhanced Noise Cancelling (ENC) technology effectively blocks background noise, allowing uninterrupted listening and clear conversations.
The VQ Skylark True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds offer a perfect blend of style, functionality, and sound quality. They provide a decent listening experience at an affordable price without compromising on design. Whether you're a music lover, podcast enthusiast, or just someone who appreciates stylish gadgets, the Skylark earbuds are a worthy addition to your collection.
